Punta Arenas launches winter women’s workshops and binational discount card

The Punta Arenas municipality announced a new series of free winter workshops for local women. Four programmes – pelvic floor care, women’s circle, self‑care practices and Qigong meditation – will run in July, offering a total of 95 places. Registration opens on 30 June at the José Bohr Municipal Theater, and mayor Claudio Radonich highlighted the expansion of activities aimed at women’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

In a separate initiative, the municipality promoted the “Tarjeta Integración Austral,” a cross‑border discount card created together with Río Gallegos, Argentina. The card provides reduced prices on hotels, restaurants, tours and other services, now serving about 57,500 users and expanding to additional businesses to strengthen tourism and commercial ties between the two cities.
