Punta Arenas municipality opens 2026 Christmas gift registration

The Municipality of Punta Arenas announced on 17 July that registration is open for its 2026 Christmas gift program, targeting children aged 0‑10 in the commune. The deadline for applications is 18 September, and each child must be registered by an adult guardian.

Registrations can be submitted online through the municipal portal or in person at the Office of Neighbor Attention on Avenida Independencia 840. Applicants must provide the child's identity document and a valid email address to receive a QR code for gift collection. Last year the program benefited about 5,500 children, and officials said the early registration will help the municipality plan the quantity and quality of gifts to ensure no child is left out.
