Punta Cana hosts 10th Beach Volleyball Classic

The 10th edition of the Punta Cana Beach Volleyball Classic will take place from October 23 to 25 at Los Corales beach. The tournament features athletes from 14 countries competing in both men's and women's divisions.

Amós Anglada, technical vice president of the Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli), noted that the event holds significant competitive weight because the results award double the points compared to regular circuit stages. This high stakes environment is expected to draw top-tier talent from participating nations.

Confirmed participants include the Dominican Republic, United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Aruba, the Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Grenada, Dominica, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. The event is dedicated to Venezuelan businessman Luis Ramón Francis, founder of Downtown Punta Cana.

The organizing committee is led by Ernesto Veloz, president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Projects of the East (ASOLESTE), alongside representatives from Marketing Sport Event and Fedovoli.
