The suspect, her husband Rajkumar Yadav, who reportedly works as a manager at a cooperative bank in Madhubani, allegedly shot his wife during an argument and subsequently fled the scene. Local residents reported hearing gunfire and finding Kumari injured on the ground; she was pronounced dead before she could receive medical attention.

Sadar police have sealed the crime scene and sent the body to Purnia Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are currently conducting raids at various locations to locate and arrest Yadav. Preliminary investigations suggest the incident was driven by domestic conflict, though police are continuing to investigate for any other potential motives.
