In Purnia, a teacher named Shalini Kumari was shot and killed following a domestic dispute in the Renu Nagar area. The suspect, identified as her husband Rajkumar Yadav, allegedly fled the scene after the incident. Local police have sealed the crime scene and are conducting raids to locate the suspect.

Later in the month, a similar incident occurred in the Samastipur district. During a Chhathi ceremony in Chaklalshahi village, a woman named Manjula Devi was allegedly shot by her husband, Suraj Sahani, following a domestic argument. The victim was declared dead upon arrival at Samastipur Sadar Hospital. Police have registered a murder case and are searching for the absconding suspect.
