Putin outlines Russia's geopolitical vision at Valdai Club

During the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed several key aspects of Russia's international relations and global outlook. Putin expressed hope that the second quarter of the 21st century would serve as a turning point for humanity to move toward a more just world, characterized by cooperation and the resolution of global challenges through consensus rather than military force.

Regarding bilateral relations, Putin praised China's consistent pursuit of peaceful solutions to international issues and noted its potential role in peacekeeping. He also highlighted economic opportunities, stating that Chinese investors could participate in the development of one of the world's largest copper deposits in Siberia. Additionally, China expressed its willingness to continue cooperating with Russia in the field of giant panda conservation.

On the diplomatic front, China welcomed Russian President Putin's interest in attending the APEC summit in Shenzhen, scheduled for November 18-19, which could potentially include a trilateral meeting with leaders from China and the United States. Meanwhile, Putin expressed interest in constructive relations with Japan but voiced concerns regarding Japan's militaryization and the formation of military-political blocs in the region.
