Putin says Russia will investigate Romanian drone crash, denies Russian involvement

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is prepared to carry out an objective investigation into the unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed in Romania. He said a thorough inquiry would be conducted only after receiving relevant evidence, and he dismissed claims that the drone was Russian.

Putin noted that in the past Ukrainian drones had been detected over Finland, Poland and the Baltic states, and that earlier accusations of Russian drones in Europe were later shown to be unfounded. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova also stated that allegations of Russian drones flying over Europe lack supporting evidence.
