PVEM Michoacán distances itself from Deputy Xóchitl Ruiz

The Green Ecological Party of Mexico (PVEM) in Michoacán has issued an institutional statement distancing itself from the personal decisions, positions, and actions of Deputy Xóchitl Gabriela Ruiz González and her family members.

The party leadership clarified that Ruiz González's involvement with political structures or projects outside of the PVEM is strictly a personal matter and does not represent the party's official stance. The statement noted that Ruiz González, who previously spent 19 years with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), joined the PVEM parliamentary group through a strategic political agreement for the current legislature rather than through formal party affiliation.

According to the PVEM, Ruiz González has previously acknowledged that she is an ally of the party rather than a formal member. Consequently, the state leadership emphasized the necessity of separating the legislator's individual political choices from the institutional life of the PVEM in Michoacán.
