Pyrgos: Woman and father attacked with clubs by former partner

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a 36-year-old woman and her elderly father were victims of a violent assault in the Agia Varvara area of Pyrgos. Two men, wearing full-face masks and carrying clubs, arrived at the woman's residence and initially caused damage to her vehicle.

When the woman and her father went outside to investigate the noise, the attackers struck them with clubs. The woman sustained fractures to her arm and leg, while her father suffered head injuries. During the struggle, the father managed to pull the mask off one of the attackers, identifying him as the woman's 26-year-old former partner. An accomplice, aged 25, was also identified as being present.

The suspects fled the scene and are currently being sought by the police. A criminal case has been filed for domestic violence and causing dangerous bodily harm. The victims were transported to Pyrgos Hospital, where they remain under protective supervision due to fears of further attacks.
