Qatar announces calendar of 560+ events through 2027

Visit Qatar has announced the ‘Qatar Calendar’ for 2024 through 2027, a comprehensive program featuring more than 560 events designed to attract international tourists and extend their average stay in the country.

The schedule integrates major global sporting competitions, cultural exhibitions, and culinary experiences. Key sporting highlights include the Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit, the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix, the FIFA U-17 World Cup, and the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship. Other athletic events include the Doha Marathon, Ironman 70.3 Doha, the Qatar TotalEnergies Open tennis tournament, and the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2027.

Cultural and artistic programming is also a central pillar of the initiative. Notable upcoming events include Art Basel Qatar and live musical performances by artists such as Hans Zimmer, Angham, Saint Levant, and Ramy Sabry. The initiative aims to position Qatar as a multi-faceted destination by linking these major events with the country’s museums, galleries, and desert landscapes.
