Qazi Touqeer reflects on Fame Gurukul win and friendship with Arijit Singh

Qazi Touqeer, winner of the 2005 singing competition Fame Gurukul, recently reflected on his musical journey and his friendship with singer Arijit Singh during an episode of Bigg Boss 20.

While performing in the show’s Legacy Room, Touqeer sang ‘O Mere Dil Ke Chain’ and expressed that, despite winning the competition alongside Ruprekha Banerjee, he did not feel he was a good singer at that time. He also paid tribute to Arijit Singh, who was a contestant on the same show in 2005 but finished in sixth place.

Touqeer described his long-standing bond with Singh, referring to him as a ‘mad scientist’ and a friend on ‘a different level.’ Singh recently expressed his support for Touqeer on social media, noting that he would be watching the program to support his ‘rockstar Qazi.’
