QDoc Film Festival 2026 showcases queer documentaries
The 18th annual QDoc Film Festival, the only US festival dedicated exclusively to queer documentaries, is scheduled to take place from October 23-25 at Cinema 21 in Portland. The lineup features a variety of films exploring queer history, icons, and culture.
Key highlights include a sold-out screening of the documentary 'Rapinoe', featuring two-time World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe. Other featured works include 'Jaripeo', which examines queerness within rural rodeo culture in Michoacán, Mexico, and films documenting figures such as Rayya Elias and Roy Blakey.
Founded by David Weissman and Russ Gage, the festival has been led by Molly King and Deb Kemp since 2017.
