Qidi Technology launches Plus5 large‑format 3D printer

Qidi Technology (formerly Qidi Tech) unveiled the Plus5, a new closed‑frame FDM 3D printer aimed at professionals and small‑scale manufacturers. The machine expands the printable volume to 320 × 320 × 300 mm (about 30.7 L), roughly an 18‑20% increase over the previous Plus4, while keeping a similar external footprint.

The Plus5 incorporates a heated build chamber powered by a 400 W heater, a CoreXY motion system, high‑precision linear guides on the X axis, and finer 1.5 GT drive belts to improve accuracy and reduce ringing. It also adds intelligent nozzle‑pressure detection and integrates with Qidi’s proprietary software suite, positioning the printer for larger functional parts, prototypes, and batch production.

The launch continues Qidi’s progression from the X‑Plus series through the Plus4, reinforcing its focus on mid‑range, high‑performance 3D printing solutions.
