Quang Ngai authorities recover three martyrs' remains
The military command of Dang Thuy Tram commune in Quang Ngai province has recovered three sets of martyrs' remains at the Duc Pho medical station, also known as Ho Sau medical station. The excavation took place between October 30 and 31, 2026, following information provided by a local witness.
An excavation team consisting of 18 personnel, including military engineers and local community members, utilized both manual methods and machinery to excavate a 50-square-meter area. Among the recovered remains were skulls, teeth, and long bones, alongside personal artifacts such as medicated oil, a round mirror, buttons, an inhaler, and military hammocks.
This operation is part of a 500-day campaign to search for, recover, and identify the remains of martyrs. The search focused on three key locations: Ho Sau, Ho Ngang, and Dong Lon. Based on witness accounts, the individuals are believed to have died between 1972 and 1974.
