Quang Ngai province launches tender for over 2,300 hectares of new urban districts
The Quang Ngai People's Committee has approved a resolution to auction land for six urban development projects covering roughly 2,350 ha. The two largest schemes are the MD1A district (about 1,490 ha) and District 6 (about 680 ha) in the Mang Den area, which officials describe as the “second Da Lát of the Central Highlands.” The province will also tender four infrastructure, environment and energy projects on about 257 ha.
The tender, overseen by the provincial Department of Construction, aims to attract private investors and align with the province’s housing‑development plan for 2030‑2050. Earlier in 2026, contracts were signed with Sun World and other consortia for separate urban projects in Mang Den, involving investments of more than VND 6.7 trillion. Authorities expect the new districts to generate substantial fiscal revenue, create housing for thousands of residents and boost tourism and real‑estate activity in Quang Ngai.
