Vietnam trade and agricultural sectors see growth and enforcement
Vietnam is seeing diverse developments in its agricultural and trade sectors. In Quảng Ninh, authorities have successfully intercepted significant quantities of smuggled goods, including 25.8 tons of frozen food without origin documentation and thousands of counterfeit cosmetic products traced from online sales.
On the trade front, Vietnam-China bilateral trade reached a record 256 billion USD in 2025, with China remaining a vital partner. Quảng Ninh is actively leveraging its relationship with China's Fujian Province to boost import-export activities through established cooperation agreements.
Agricultural productivity remains stable despite market fluctuations. While some farmers in Thái Nguyên are finding new livelihoods through regulated wildlife farming, the broader agricultural sector is focusing on export expansion. Efforts are underway to diversify markets, with India emerging as a high-potential destination for Vietnamese agricultural products to mitigate risks from global protectionism and strict technical standards.
