Quang Ninh police warn of automated loan scam calls requiring only ID

The Quang Ninh Provincial Police announced a surge of automated telephone calls offering rapid loans of up to 100 million VND that claim no collateral or income proof is needed, only a citizen ID (CCCD). The calls play a pre‑recorded script and prompt the listener to press a key to speak with a consultant, who may then request personal data, bank‑account details, OTP codes or payment of fees.

Police advise the public not to provide any personal information, not to transfer money for alleged processing fees, and to verify any loan request directly with licensed banks or financial institutions. Victims are urged to report suspicious calls to the nearest police station.
