Vietnam business sector focuses on administrative reform and human resources
Vietnam is implementing broad initiatives to support its business community through administrative reform, human resource development, and policy improvements. The Ministry of Justice reported significant progress in streamlining procedures, with ministries eliminating 188 administrative tasks and simplifying 225 others during the third quarter of 2026. Efforts are also focused on data-driven restructuring and enhancing digital integration to benefit citizens and enterprises.
In Hanoi, the CEF III forum highlighted the critical role of high-quality human resources in driving economic growth, emphasizing that productivity and competitiveness depend on technical skills and digital literacy. Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, authorities are accelerating industrial production with a target of 15-16% growth in the fourth quarter of 2026. The city is also working to consolidate public services into a single digital citizen application to improve interaction between the government and the public.
To further support economic stability, discussions are ongoing regarding tax and customs reforms to reduce compliance costs and facilitate global supply chain participation. Additionally, the Ministry of Home Affairs is preparing a comprehensive proposal for salary and social insurance reforms, expected to be presented to the Central Committee in early 2027, to ensure sustainable growth and fiscal capacity.
