Quang Tri hairdresser returns nearly 1 billion VND mistaken transfer

A hairdresser in Quang Tri, Vietnam, has returned nearly 1 billion VND (999,999,997 VND) that was mistakenly transferred to her bank account.

Le Thi Thu Huyen discovered the transaction after being notified by her bank regarding a suspicious transfer into an account she had not used for a long time. To avoid potential fraud, Huyen reported the matter to the Quang Tri Ward Police and contacted the sender, Tran Thi Dung, to verify the transaction.

On September 17, Dung, who works in Ho Chi Minh City, met with Huyen to complete the necessary verification procedures and successfully reclaimed the funds.
