Italian municipalities invest in sports infrastructure upgrades

In Quarrata, the new “Carlo Ruben Cappellini” sports field, a subsidiary facility of the “Filippo Raciti” Municipal Stadium, has been officially inaugurated. The project, which honors a deceased local sports professional, was funded through the PNRR with a total investment of approximately 3.1 million euros. The ceremony was attended by local officials, including the Mayor of Quarrata and the President of the Tuscany Region.

In Roseto degli Abruzzi, the municipal government has approved an executive project for the redevelopment of the Campo a Mare di Sopra multi-purpose sports complex. This 107,000 euro project, funded by local resources, will address technical issues by renewing the basketball and soccer surfaces, upgrading the bocce courts, replacing fencing, and renovating the spectator stands.
