Quart de Poblet launches Valencian-language summer sales campaign
The municipality of Quart de Poblet distributed tags and posters to 55 local shops so they can display “Rebaixes” and “Descomptes” signs during the summer sales period. The initiative, announced again in Valencian, is coordinated by the municipal Service of Linguistic Normalisation together with the Area of Commerce and backed by the Valencian Language Promotion Agencies and the Unit of Linguistic Normalisation of the Valencian Government.
Mayor Cristina Mora and councilor Fran Hidalgo visited several participating stores, emphasizing support for nearby commerce and the use of Valencian. Many of the shops also take part in the “Bo Comerç” voucher scheme, allowing residents to use the voucher for discounted purchases. The campaign is complemented by a grant program offering up to €600 to businesses for signage, website updates, flyers and advertising, and an upcoming competition to reward businesses that most effectively promote Valencian in their commercial materials.
