Quectel launches new smart module lineup for on-device AI
Quectel Wireless Solutions has announced the launch of a new lineup of three smart modules—the SH503FM, SH603FC, and SH803FD—designed for on-device AI and edge computing. Developed using MediaTek’s Genio platform, these modules feature octa-core Arm Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 processors, an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, and support for Android 15 and Yocto Linux.
The modules are designed to provide high-performance computing and AI acceleration across entry, mid, and high-performance tiers without requiring integrated cellular connectivity, allowing manufacturers flexibility in their connectivity choices. Key technical specifications include LPDDR5X memory support up to 16 GB and dual independent display output.
Specific models, such as the QSM603FCP, function as smart PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) capable of providing up to 10.3 TOPS of NPU computing power. These products are intended for a variety of industrial and consumer applications, including smart POS systems, industrial smart tablets, edge AI gateways, robotics, and smart home systems.
