Queen Silvia of Sweden visits Lake Constance for Mentor-Stiftung anniversary

Queen Silvia of Sweden is visiting the Lake Constance region to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Mentor-Stiftung in Germany. The foundation, which aims to empower youth through mentorship, was established in Germany in 2016 following the initiative of Countess Bettina Bernadotte.

Her visit began in Konstanz with the premiere of the stage project ‘wir_jetzt_hier’ at the Bodenseeforum. Directed by actor and mentor ambassador Oliver Wnuk, the production involves students from the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule and the Lake Constance Philharmonic.

On Thursday, the Queen's itinerary includes a visit to Mainau Island. During a formal ceremony, she is expected to present the first Mentor-Zukunftspreis (Mentor Future Prize). Members of the public will have opportunities to greet her as she walks through the castle courtyard toward the Palm House.

Following her engagements in the Lake Constance area, the Queen is scheduled to travel to Düsseldorf on Friday to receive the ‘Preis für Kindeswohl 2026’ (Child Welfare Prize 2026) for her work in child protection.
