Queens woman charged with murder of autistic son

Suk Kuen Wong, 62, has been charged with murder and weapon possession following the death of her 25-year-old son, Bryan Wong, in their Woodside, Queens apartment. The victim, who was autistic, was discovered by his father on October 14 with fatal wounds to his neck and wrists.

Police recovered at least three knives from the residence. Following the incident, Wong reportedly attempted suicide by leaping from the Van Wyck Expressway. She survived the fall but sustained a broken pelvis and femur, and remains hospitalized.

Neighbors described the Wongs as a quiet, close-knit family, with some noting that the mother appeared stressed. No arraignment date has been set as Wong continues to receive medical treatment.
