Querétaro and Guadalajara Art Centers Unveil New Exhibitions

The Centro de Arte Bernardo Quintana Arrioja (CABQA) at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro opened two concurrent shows. "Desde el alma," a photography exhibition curated by photographer Angy Meré, presents portrait finalists and runs until 19 August. "Surcos," by painter Oliver Esquivel, explores concepts of time and memory and remains on view until 21 August.

In Guadalajara, the Museo de las Artes (MUSA) announced an artist‑in‑residence program with Alejandra Ruiz Rincón for the project “La ciudad de las damas,” beginning 11 August and inviting visitors to help build a cardboard city. The museum also launched the "Los vitalistas" exhibition, featuring works and a manifesto from a 1970s artistic collective, opening 20 August and running through 15 November. Guided tours and a live‑painting "Café estético" event are scheduled for mid‑August.
