Querétaro authorities conduct raids and strengthen institutional cooperation
Authorities in Querétaro have conducted five raids as part of the ‘Sinergia’ program, targeting crimes related to public health and human trafficking. The operations resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of various illegal substances, including over 110 doses of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana plants. Investigators also confiscated electronic equipment, such as laptops, cell phones, and a DVR, along with notebooks and identification documents. Two properties were secured to preserve evidence for ongoing investigations.
In separate institutional developments, Querétaro’s State Attorney General, Víctor Antonio De Jesús Hernández, held meetings to strengthen inter-agency cooperation. He met with the Secretary of Health, Dr. María Martina Pérez Rendón, to coordinate efforts regarding public welfare. Additionally, De Jesús Hernández met with Nery Nápoles, head of the Federal Institute of Public Defense (IFDP), to discuss mechanisms for collaboration that prioritize human rights and due process within the justice system.
