Security operations in Querétaro
Overview
Under the ‘Sinergia por Querétaro’ inter-institutional strategy, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) conducted 10 simultaneous raids across the municipalities of Querétaro, Amealco de Bonfil, and Pedro Escobedo. These operations resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals, consisting of seven adults and three adolescents. Authorities seized methamphetamine, marijuana, powder drugs, a firearm, live cartridges, handmade weapons, digital scales, and cash.
Subsequent operations under the ‘Sinergia’ program included five additional raids targeting crimes related to public health and human trafficking. These interventions led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of over 110 doses of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana plants, alongside electronic equipment and identification documents. Two properties were secured to preserve evidence.
To support these security efforts, State Attorney General Víctor Antonio De Jesús Hernández has held meetings to strengthen inter-agency cooperation. This includes coordinating with the Secretary of Health, Dr. María Martina Pérez Rendón, regarding public welfare, and meeting with Nery Nápoles of the Federal Institute of Public Defense (IFDP) to discuss collaboration mechanisms focused on human rights and due process.
