Querétaro approves land donation for conservation and market support
The Querétaro City Council has approved several measures focused on environmental conservation and economic support for local commerce. The council authorized the donation of an 84,843-square-meter urban plot, valued at over 234 million pesos, to the Querétaro Trust for Environmental Conservation (FIQMA) to promote ecological balance and resource protection.
In addition to environmental initiatives, municipal authorities celebrated the 47th anniversary of the Lomas de Casablanca Municipal Market. Mayor Felifer Macías and Governor Mauricio Kuri González announced new strategies to strengthen local markets and street vendors (tianguis). These measures include advertising campaigns, cultural activities, and increased police presence to boost family attendance and support the local economy.
