Querétaro begins audits of 2025 federalized spending

Governor Mauricio Kuri González has launched comprehensive audits of federalized spending for the 2025 Public Account in Querétaro. This initiative covers both the state government and its 18 municipalities.

The process follows a new national fiscalization model established through a coordination agreement between the Auditoría Superior de la Federación (ASF) and the Entidad Superior de Fiscalización del Estado (ESFE). The goal is to strengthen institutional trust, ensure transparency, and verify the correct use of public resources.

Aureliano Hernández Palacios Cardel, the Superior Auditor of the Federation, noted that there are currently 30 open audits regarding the state's Executive Power. The audits will focus on federal funds, internal controls, and compliance with financial discipline standards.
