Mexican municipalities announce tax freezes and infrastructure priorities for 2027
Several Mexican municipal administrations have announced fiscal and infrastructure plans for the 2027 fiscal year. In Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz confirmed that the 2027 Revenue Law will not include increases to taxes or service fees, citing financial discipline and a commitment to protecting family economies.
Similarly, the Mayor of Querétaro, Felipe Fernando Macías Olvera, announced that the municipal property tax (predial) will remain frozen at 2026 levels. His administration is also prioritizing investments in sanitary and storm drainage infrastructure to address urban water management needs.
In the State of Mexico, the local Congress has ruled out property tax increases resulting from the new Cadastral Law, stating that any adjustments to value tables will not exceed inflation rates.
