Querétaro Municipality offers 100% tax penalty waiver in October

The Municipality of Querétaro has announced a 100 percent discount on fines, surcharges, and execution costs for property tax (Predial) and property transfer tax (Traslado de Dominio) throughout the month of October.

Finance Secretary Carlos León González stated that the measure aims to provide economic relief to local families, allowing taxpayers with outstanding debts to regularize their status without additional penalties. The discount applies specifically to surcharges and fines; the original tax amount must still be paid according to fiscal determinations.

Property tax payments can be made in person at the Centro Cívico, the seven municipal delegations, via mobile collection units (Recaudomóviles), or through the online payment system. For property transfer tax, eligible operations can be processed through the Traslanet portal or in person at the Municipal Income Directorate.
