Argentina implements various debt and social assistance programs
Various regional and financial entities in Argentina have announced programs to facilitate debt regularization and social assistance.
In Chaco, Nuevo Banco del Chaco (NBCH) launched a Debt Regularization Program for irregular personal loans and credit card debts. The program offers a fixed annual interest rate of 35% and terms of up to 60 months for eligible clients with arrears recorded as of June 30, 2026.
In Trelew, the municipality is implementing the 'Tarjeta de Cuidado Integral' to provide seniors with a monthly benefit of $100,000 for medical supplies. Additionally, the city's tax regularization plan for various municipal duties will conclude on August 31 without an extension.
Other municipal initiatives include a proposed 45-day tax moratorium in Quilmes for safety and hygiene inspection fees, and a new regime in Santa Fe starting September 1 that allows for the payment of municipal debts in up to 36 installments.
At the provincial level, Mendoza and the National Government have reached a financial agreement to compensate mutual debts, involving a net balance of $212 million to be returned by Mendoza through 2027.
