Quintana Roo authorities report 242 arrests and human trafficking rescue

Law enforcement agencies in Quintana Roo have reported significant results in recent security operations. Between August 10 and 16, the Mesa de Paz Quintana Roo reported 242 arrests, the seizure of 26,310 doses of illicit substances, and the recovery of 64 vehicles. These operations were concentrated in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Lázaro Cárdenas, Othón P. Blanco, and Tulum.

In a separate criminal investigation, authorities in Playa del Carmen rescued three female minors from alleged labor exploitation. The teenagers, originally from Chiapas, were reportedly forced to work long hours preparing and selling corn products. A woman identified as Angélica “N”, also known as “La Patrona”, was arrested in connection with the human trafficking investigation following searches of several properties.
