Quintana Roo advances judicial reports and community development projects

In Quintana Roo, several administrative and social initiatives are underway. Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa attended the first activity report of Heyden Cebada Rivas, President of the Superior Court of Justice of Quintana Roo, marking a formal exercise in institutional transparency and accountability.

On the social development front, the state government and DIF Quintana Roo have implemented the 2026 Integral Strategy for Social Assistance and Community Development. This program has provided tools and supplies to 729 people across six municipalities, supporting 47 community projects in sectors such as agriculture, sewing, and bakery to promote local economic self-sufficiency.

Additionally, municipal efforts in Playa del Carmen, led by Mayor Estefanía Mercado, focus on renovating municipal markets in areas like Colosio and Bellavista to boost local commerce. In Lázaro Cárdenas, the state government has distributed maintenance kits to local authorities to improve public parks and community spaces.

Regarding electoral planning, the electoral bodies of Quintana Roo are projecting a combined budget of approximately 590.8 million pesos for the 2027 fiscal year. These funds are intended to cover the organization and judicial oversight of local elections for the governorship, state congress, and 11 municipalities.
