Quintana Roo promotes tourism investment in New York
Quintana Roo officials participated in the seventh edition of Mexico Investment Week in New York, held from September 8 to 10, to promote the state's tourism sector and attract international investment.
Bernardo Cueto Riestra, the state's Secretary of Tourism, represented the government and emphasized the importance of using such forums to position tourism as a primary economic driver. The initiative aims to strengthen the state's tourism offerings, increase connectivity, and boost visitor arrivals to the Mexican Caribbean.
The state's strategy, led by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, focuses on promoting the diversity of its 12 destinations, including sun and beach, culture, gastronomy, nature, and wellness. The goal is to translate tourism growth into shared prosperity and economic development for local communities.
