Quintanar del Rey advances to ‘El Grand Prix’ grand final

Quintanar del Rey (Cuenca) has secured its place in the grand final of ‘El Grand Prix del Verano’ after a highly competitive second semifinal. The municipality defeated Altura (Castellón) with a narrow score of 34-33.

The competition was decided in the final game, ‘El Diccionario’. While Altura performed well in several challenges, Quintanar del Rey gained a crucial advantage during the ‘superbolos’ test. The final tie-breaking moment occurred when the Quintanar team correctly identified that the word ‘zurriburri’ exists in the RAE dictionary, clinching the victory by a single point.

Quintanar del Rey will face Polinyà (Barcelona) in the season finale, scheduled for Wednesday, September 2. The final will be hosted by Ramón García and will feature Victoria Marty and Miguel Maldonado as assistants.
