Regional weather reports show heavy rain in Mexico and Ecuador

Various regions across the Americas are experiencing diverse weather patterns, including heavy rainfall and temperature fluctuations.

In Ecuador, the Instituto Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología (INAMHI) has issued Meteorological Warning No. 74, valid through September 27, 2026. Quito is expected to see cool temperatures between 8°C and 18°C with a 20% to 30% chance of rain. The warning highlights risks of water accumulation, fallen trees, and fog in the Interandean region, particularly in Pichincha and Bolívar, as well as in coastal areas like Guayas and Esmeraldas.

In Mexico, Puebla and surrounding states like Hidalgo and Querétaro are facing very heavy rains accompanied by electrical discharges. These conditions may lead to rising river levels, landslides, and flooding.

In the United States, Phoenix experienced a combination of moderate rain and high heat, with temperatures reaching 36°C and a heat index of 34°C. Meanwhile, Miami faced a warm, humid day with temperatures around 30°C and light intermittent rains. In Kansas City, the weather remained overcast and temperate with a maximum of 25°C and no immediate precipitation expected.
