Quy Nhon Dialogue on Climate and Transition to host 100+ delegates
The first Quy Nhon Dialogue on Climate and Transition is scheduled to take place from October 10-11 at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE). Organized by the Vietnam Association for Science Exchange and ICISE, with support from the French Development Agency, the event is expected to gather over 100 high-level delegates from Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and international partners.
Participants will include government representatives, international organizations, financial institutions, development banks, businesses, and scientists. The dialogue aims to address the intersection of climate change with energy security, food security, trade, public finance, and geoeconomics. Discussions will focus on climate science, decarbonization, and financing for the transition to low-carbon emissions.
This inaugural event serves as a “Zero Version” to test the dialogue model and organizational framework, establishing a foundation for annual dialogues starting in 2027. Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Vietnam Association for Science Exchange and Director of ICISE, emphasized the need to connect science, policy, finance, and business to turn knowledge into actionable decisions.
