Rabat Police Launches Second‑Generation Command and Coordination Center

On 13 July 2026 the Rabat security directorate opened the upgraded Command and Coordination Hall (2.0) after a comprehensive renovation. The new facility integrates more than 1,400 high‑resolution urban‑surveillance cameras, modern communication and data‑transfer systems, a cyber‑secure data centre and a dedicated crisis‑management unit.

The centre operates 24 hours a day, receiving emergency calls on the national number 19, recording initial incident data in a unified database and instantly dispatching police rescue teams. It also monitors traffic flow and coordinates field operations across the capital. Originally inaugurated in 2016, the hall has been fully modernised to meet current technological standards and improve police responsiveness to citizens’ needs.
