Rabowice waste collection point suspends services due to permit limits

The Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point (PSZOK) in Rabowice has suspended the acceptance of certain waste types, including tires, bulky waste, and electronic equipment, effective August 24. This restriction follows a previous suspension of biodegradable waste acceptance earlier in August.

The Swarzędz municipality reported that the suspension is due to the total exhaustion of limits specified in the waste collection permit rather than a technical failure. The full range of services in Rabowice is not expected to resume until January 2027.

To address the issue, Kleszczewo authorities have implemented an emergency solution. Residents of the Kleszczewo municipality may deliver waste to the sewage treatment plant in Nagradowice, provided they first register with the municipal office. This facility will operate every working Wednesday and on the second Saturday of each month to alleviate the backlog.
