Rachel Weisz returns for ‘The Mummy 4’ filming in London

Production has officially commenced in London for the upcoming film ‘The Mummy 4’, reuniting original franchise stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. First-look set photos have surfaced showing Weisz in character as Evelyn O’Connell, wearing period-appropriate attire including a wide-brimmed hat, a brown jacket, and a yellow polka-dot skirt. The filming has reportedly taken place near the British Museum.

The new installment is being directed by the filmmaking collective Radio Silence, consisting of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The production is designed as a direct sequel to the first two films, deliberately ignoring the events of the 2008 entry, ‘The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor’.

Returning cast members include John Hannah as Jonathan Carnahan, Oded Fehr as Ardeth Bay, and Kevin J. O’Connor as Beni Gabor. Universal Pictures has scheduled the theatrical release for October 15, 2027, moving the date forward from an earlier 2028 window.
