Racing Bulls evaluates 2027 driver lineup options
Racing Bulls is evaluating its driver lineup for the 2027 Formula 1 season, facing a selection process involving three high-potential candidates for two available seats. Current drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad are considered leading candidates to continue with the team. Lawson has demonstrated significant speed, currently holding ninth place in the drivers' championship.
Nikola Tsolov, the leader of the Formula 2 championship, is also a strong contender. Tsolov is currently undergoing Test of Previous Cars (TPC) sessions in Imola to evaluate his development. While Tsolov may eventually participate in Formula 1 free practice sessions after completing 300 kilometers without incident, reports suggest he may serve as the team's test and reserve driver next year.
Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer noted that having three talented drivers for two spots is a positive position for the team. However, the final decision regarding the lineup rests with Team Principal Alan Permane.
