Rade Šerbedžija Criticizes Croatia’s World Cup Play, Praises Bosnia

Actor and former semi‑professional footballer Rade Šerbedžija told RTL Direkt that he is disappointed with Croatia’s performance at the World Cup, describing the team as “too slow” in the midfield and urging quicker ball movement and more danger. He compared Croatia’s pace unfavorably with younger sides from Brazil, Africa and South America, saying “the future is fast football.”

Šerbedžija also praised Bosnia and Herzegovina’s recent display against Qatar, calling it “fantastic” and highlighting the speed of the Bosnian youngsters. He noted that Croatia’s next group match is against Ghana, where a draw or win is needed to secure progression to the knockout stage.

His comments reflect broader criticism of Croatia’s tactical approach as the tournament reaches its final group round.
