Radio România launches new musical season at Sala Radio

Radio România is launching its new performance season at Sala Radio with two distinct musical events.

The Radio Chamber Orchestra will open the season on October 14 with a program dedicated to French music from the turn of the 20th century. Featuring harpist Xavier de Maistre and conductor David Molard Soriano, the repertoire includes works by Mel Bonis, Claude Debussy, and Maurice Ravel, as well as George Enescu’s ‘Pastorale-fantaisie’.

On October 15, the Radio România Big Band will present ‘Coltrane 100 Miles’, a concert celebrating the centenaries of jazz legends John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Directed by Simona Strungaru, the performance will feature soloists Sebastian Burneci on trumpet and Cătălin Milea on saxophone, performing iconic tracks such as ‘So What’ and ‘Milestones’.
