Radio România musical programming and anniversaries

Overview

Radio România has initiated its new performance season at Sala Radio with diverse musical events. The season opened with a program by the Radio Chamber Orchestra focused on turn-of-the-20th-century French music and works by George Enescu, followed by a jazz concert by the Radio România Big Band celebrating the centenaries of John Coltrane and Miles Davis.

To mark its 98th anniversary, the institution scheduled a concert by the National Radio Orchestra for October 30, 2026. This anniversary event, featuring conductor Radu Paponiu and pianist Cadmiel Boțac, includes works by Mendelssohn, Rogalski, and Rachmaninoff. The performance is set to be broadcast live via Radio România Cultural, Radio România Muzical, and online platforms.
