Radom to host Gregorian chant concert for St. Francis jubilee

As part of Christian Culture Week, the Schola Gregoriana Sandomiriensis will perform the concert ‘Ad Mariae Gloria’ on October 6, 2026, at the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Radom. The event, held at the Bernardine monastery, commemorates two milestones: the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis and the 90th anniversary of the Bernardine fathers' return to Radom.

The performance will feature Gregorian chants based on authentic Bernardine manuscripts from Radom. The Schola Gregoriana Sandomiriensis, led by Tomasz Sokołowski, is a group of enthusiasts dedicated to propagating this musical tradition through a cappella Latin singing. The ensemble is noted for its work in popularizing melodic variants from historical manuscripts in the Sandomierz diocese.
