Radostin Vasilev nominated as MECH presidential candidate

The political party ‘Morality, Unity, Honor’ (MECH) has officially nominated Radostin Vasilev as its candidate for the presidential elections scheduled for October 25, 2026. Vasilev, a lawyer and former Minister of Sport, will be accompanied by Krassimir Manov as the candidate for vice president.

Radostin Vasilev has served as a Member of Parliament in several National Assemblies and previously led the legal commission. Krassimir Manov is an expert in the energy sector, having served as a deputy in the 51st National Assembly and as a member of the energy commission.

Vasilev stated that the presidency should serve as the voice of the people and a unifier for the nation. The MECH party, which emerged as a political project in June 2023, aims to create a political majority against existing leadership models in Bulgaria.
