Radzyń Podlaski Opens EU‑Funded Street Workout Park by City Reservoir

A new street‑workout park has been built on the banks of the municipal reservoir in Radzyń Podlaski, Poland. The facility offers a range of body‑weight exercise equipment, a permeable surface, solar LED lighting, bike racks and new tree plantings. The project, named “INFRASTRUKTURA REKREACYJNA W RADZYNIU PODLASKIM – BUDOWA PARKU STREET WORKOUT”, is co‑financed by the European Union through the Local Action Group “Zapiecek”, covering 75 % of the total 98,334.26 zł cost (73,750.70 zł). The investment aims to provide a safe, green, and accessible outdoor fitness space for all ages, complementing nearby cycling routes.

In Polish cities, residents also have many other free or low‑cost ways to stay active. Outdoor gyms are scattered throughout urban areas and remain open year‑round, while skateboarding and roller‑blading spots are popular in cities such as Wrocław. Team sports and group activities are promoted for social integration, especially for newcomers to the city. These options collectively support health, coordination, endurance and community engagement.
