In late July 2026 Polish municipalities continued expanding and modernising public recreation spaces. Bydgoszcz advanced its Brda River boulevard project, installing natural‑material embankments, new pedestrian and cyclist routes, and planting greenery. Simultaneously, Suwałki completed a €2.78 million skate‑park upgrade with separate zones for beginners and advanced users.

A week later, Radzyń Podlaski opened an EU‑co‑financed street‑workout park on the banks of its municipal reservoir. The facility, officially titled “INFRASTRUKTURA REKREACYJNA W RADZYNIU PODLASKIM – BUDOWA PARKU STREET WORKOUT”, cost 98,334.26 zł, with 75 % covered by EU funds. It offers body‑weight equipment, a permeable surface, solar LED lighting, bike racks, and new tree plantings, complementing nearby cycling routes.

In early August, Kraków’s Swoszowice district began building a €912,000 flow‑park and fitness zone along ul. Kąpielowa, also co‑financed by the EU. The project will feature a multi‑use trail for skateboards, scooters and bikes, exercise stations, an illuminated pavilion and extensive pollinator‑friendly planting.

The same month, Bieszczady National Park launched a 34‑kilometre electric‑bike loop following the San River through several villages. Electric mountain‑bikes are provided at an on‑site ecological‑education station, allowing visitors to explore UNESCO‑listed primeval beech forests and the Krywe nature reserve while learning about local flora and fauna.

These developments illustrate a sustained Polish commitment to green, accessible outdoor recreation that promotes health, community engagement and sustainable tourism, with significant European Union support.
