Rafael Jodar discusses rise in rankings and respect for Sinner
Spanish tennis player Rafael Jodar has discussed his rapid ascent in the ATP rankings and his recent experiences on the professional circuit. Following his participation in the Laver Cup with Team Europe under captain Yannick Noah, the 20-year-old reflected on the transition from the Challenger circuit to major international tournaments.
Jodar addressed comparisons between his playing style and that of Jannik Sinner, stating, “Sinceramente, io ho il mio gioco e seguo solo me stesso” (Sincerely, I have my own game and I only follow myself). He expressed high regard for Sinner, describing him as a “brava persona” (good person) who is “simpatico, incredibilmente umile” (likable, incredibly humble), and noted that his presence is missed on the court.
